The Calexico Unified School District has relocated and expanded its Family Resource Center to a larger facility, enhancing the district’s ability to provide academic assistance and wellness services—especially for homeless and foster youth—through its McKinney-Vento program.

Now located at 641 Rockwood Avenue, Calexico, CA
Occupies a 6,000 sq ft space on the former Aurora High School campus

Facility Purpose:

Functions as a centralized hub for academic support, wellness programs, and essential services
Prioritizes support for homeless and foster youth through the McKinney-Vento program

Grand Opening:

Ribbon-cutting ceremony held on April 3, 2025, marking the launch of the McKinney-Vento Academic and Wellness Center
