At the former Macy’s department store in Westfield Mission Valley, Watkins Environmental performed comprehensive hazardous material abatement and demolition. The project involved the meticulous removal of asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous materials, followed by the complete interior demolition of the building.

This prepared the site for its redevelopment into “The Valley,” a mixed-use lifestyle district featuring retail, dining, entertainment, and residential spaces, aligning with the city’s vision for a walkable, livable Mission Valley.
