View Commercial Demolition & Environmental Remediation Projects

Allied Gardens Redevelopment Project

Project Details

Watkins Environmental completed a large-scale hazardous material abatement and demolition project in the Allied Gardens neighborhood of San Diego. The work involved the removal of hazardous materials and demolition of existing structures across a significant redevelopment site.

Hazardous Material Abatement

Before demolition could proceed, the site required extensive environmental abatement to address hazardous building materials within the existing structures. Watkins Environmental provides specialized commercial environmental services, including commercial asbestos removal and commercial lead removal, to help safely prepare properties for demolition and redevelopment.

Commercial Demolition & Site Preparation

Following abatement, the project included extensive commercial demolition to remove existing structures and prepare the property for future development. This coordinated approach allowed hazardous materials and structures to be addressed efficiently as part of the overall site preparation process.

Preparing Allied Gardens for Redevelopment

The completed abatement and demolition work represented an important first step in transforming the property. The redevelopment plans include nearly 1,000 new apartments, bringing additional housing and investment to the Allied Gardens community.
