Project Details
Mar Vista Academy, part of the Sweetwater Union High School District, is undergoing a comprehensive campus modernization designed to improve student services, accessibility, and instructional facilities.
New Administration and Student Support Facilities
The project includes construction of new administration and student support buildings, along with a new multipurpose center designed to accommodate campus gatherings, programs, and essential student services.
Special Education and Life Skills Improvements
New special education classroom suites are being developed to provide more supportive and functional learning environments. The modernization also includes a dedicated life skills room equipped with a full kitchen and laundry area to support hands-on instruction and greater student independence.
Campus Access and Site Improvements
The main campus entrance is being redesigned to improve accessibility, circulation, and overall campus flow for students, staff, and visitors.
Hazardous Material Abatement and Demolition
Watkins Environmental provided hazardous material abatement and commercial demolition services as part of the project. Our team safely removed hazardous materials, including asbestos-containing materials and lead-based paint, from existing structures before demolition work proceeded.
Through professional commercial asbestos removal and commercial lead removal, we helped prepare the site for the next phase of construction while supporting a safer work environment for contractors and future occupants.
