Project Details
Innovation Middle School, part of San Diego Unified School District, has undergone a comprehensive Whole Site Modernization to accommodate enrollment growth, expand facilities, and modernize campus infrastructure in support of enhanced academic and extracurricular programming.
Key components of the project include:
- New Construction:
- A 36,000 sq ft, two-story classroom building with ten classrooms, two locker rooms, restrooms, and administrative offices
- Four new portable classrooms to support the addition of 6th grade
- Modernization & Upgrades:
- Removal and replacement of outdated portable buildings
- Upgraded electrical systems, including relocation of the main distribution frame (MDF)
- Site Improvements:
- Construction of a new natural turf field and decomposed granite track
- Addition of a raised platform amphitheater for outdoor events and assemblies
