Project Details
El Capitan High School, part of the Grossmont Union High School District, completed targeted modernization work designed to improve instructional flexibility, administrative efficiency, and the overall campus experience.
Building 300 Classroom Renovation
Former dance and band rooms in Building 300 were renovated and repurposed into modern classrooms. The updated spaces are designed to accommodate a wider range of instructional needs and provide greater flexibility for students and educators.
Building 400 Administration Improvements
The administration building underwent a complete modernization to improve accessibility, operational flow, and everyday functionality for school staff, students, and visitors.
Maintaining Campus Operations
During construction, administrative functions were temporarily relocated to the school library. This allowed essential campus operations to continue with minimal disruption while the renovation work was completed.
Selective Demolition and Site Preparation
Watkins Environmental supports school renovation projects with services such as selective demolition and interior demolition. These services allow targeted building components to be carefully removed while preserving the surrounding structures scheduled to remain.
