Project Details

Innovation Middle School, part of San Diego Unified School District, has undergone a comprehensive Whole Site Modernization to accommodate enrollment growth, expand facilities, and modernize campus infrastructure in support of enhanced academic and extracurricular programming.

Key components of the project include:

  • New Construction:
    • A 36,000 sq ft, two-story classroom building with ten classrooms, two locker rooms, restrooms, and administrative offices
    • Four new portable classrooms to support the addition of 6th grade
  • Modernization & Upgrades:
    • Removal and replacement of outdated portable buildings
    • Upgraded electrical systems, including relocation of the main distribution frame (MDF)
  • Site Improvements:
    • Construction of a new natural turf field and decomposed granite track
    • Addition of a raised platform amphitheater for outdoor events and assemblies

These updates are designed to provide a safer, more functional, and inspiring educational environment for both students and staff.
