Project Details
Monte Vista High School, part of the Grossmont Union High School District, completed a targeted modernization project focused on improving its physical education and athletic facilities. The upgrades were designed to enhance student wellness, accessibility, comfort, and overall functionality.
Physical Education Building Modernization
Building 900 underwent a full renovation to improve usability, accessibility, and day-to-day function for students and staff. The project also included installation of new HVAC systems to improve climate control and indoor air quality throughout the facility.
Watkins Environmental supports school renovation projects with services such as interior demolition and selective demolition, helping prepare existing spaces for modernization while preserving surrounding structures.
Gymnasium and Accessibility Upgrades
The gymnasium received additional improvements, including restroom renovations designed to meet current accessibility standards. New HVAC systems were also installed to improve comfort during athletic events, physical education classes, and school functions.
Modernized Athletic Facilities
The completed improvements provide Monte Vista High School with more functional, accessible, and comfortable athletic facilities that better support student health, safety, and extracurricular activities.
