Project Details

Naval Base Point Loma is constructing a new 35,987-square-foot Child Development Center (CDC) designed to expand childcare services for military personnel and authorized civilians in the San Diego area. The facility will accommodate up to 292 children ranging in age from six weeks to five years.

New Child Development Facilities

The new center will include age-appropriate activity and learning rooms, administrative offices, training areas, and dedicated staff support spaces. The facility is designed to provide a safe, functional, and supportive environment for young children while meeting the needs of military families stationed in the region.

Supporting Federal Construction Projects

Watkins Environmental supports federal and military construction projects with environmental and demolition services tailored to complex facility requirements. Depending on project scope, these services can include selective demolition, interior demolition, and other environmental services.

Supporting Military Families

The new Child Development Center is intended to help reduce existing childcare waitlists while expanding access to quality early childhood care for military and civilian families connected to Naval Base Point Loma.
