Project Details

Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton is completing a comprehensive renovation of Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) Building 430405 to improve safety, functionality, and living conditions for enlisted personnel. The project modernizes the existing facility while extending its long-term service life through structural, mechanical, and site improvements.

Building Renovation and Environmental Improvements

The renovation includes interior demolition, selective demolition, and hazardous material abatement to safely prepare the building for modernization. Structural retrofitting and building system upgrades are also being completed to meet current performance and safety standards.

As part of its work on complex military and commercial facilities, Watkins Environmental provides specialized environmental remediation services, including commercial asbestos removal, commercial lead removal, and demolition services that support renovation projects in occupied and mission-critical environments.

Facility and Site Upgrades

The project also includes installation of a new standing seam roof, HVAC upgrades, fire protection improvements, and enhancements to site paving and surrounding infrastructure. These improvements provide a safer, more comfortable, and more energy-efficient living environment for military personnel.

Supporting Military Housing

Once completed, the renovated Bachelor Enlisted Quarters will provide modern housing accommodations that better support the health, safety, and readiness of Marines stationed at MCB Camp Pendleton.
