Vermont Ave & South Escondido Blvd Abatement & Demolition
Project Details
Watkins Environmental completed a large-scale residential abatement and demolition project at Vermont Avenue and South Escondido Boulevard in Escondido, California. The work prepared multiple residential properties for redevelopment into a new three-story, 26-unit multifamily housing project.
Hazardous Material Abatement
Before demolition began, Watkins Environmental completed hazardous material abatement throughout the existing homes and structures. The scope included residential asbestos removal and residential lead removal, including the proper removal and disposal of identified asbestos- and lead-containing materials.
Residential Demolition & Site Clearing
Following abatement, Watkins performed residential demolition of the existing homes and supporting structures. The demolition scope included garages, sheds, foundations, driveways, property walls, fencing, asphalt, concrete, and other site improvements.
Preparing the Site for Multifamily Redevelopment
The completed abatement and demolition work cleared the property for construction of a new three-story multifamily development featuring 26 apartment homes. By coordinating environmental abatement with full-site demolition, Watkins helped prepare the Escondido property for its next phase of development.
