Navy Pier Project
After serving the United States Navy for nearly sixty years, the old Industrial Fleet and Supply building was slated for demolition. Situated on San Diego Harbor’s beautiful waterfront, the 10,000 square foot building was a challenging project—it involved major hazardous material remediation and heavy demolition directly over the water. Because the pier proved to be unstable, prohibiting the use of certain heavy equipment, our team faced a difficult assignment that was magnified by environmental concerns of keeping debris from falling into the water. This project was completed with flawless precision, and today the pier serves as home to the USS Midway Museum.
